Casis Weekly (2/12/24 – 2/16/24)
Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, we were thrilled to welcome Mac Barnett back to Casis for our annual Author Visit event. It was such an exciting day of presentations and book-signings. And the luncheon with the staff was simply amazing. Special thanks to our Librarian, Courtney Ewing, and our Parent Volunteers, who made this event so very memorable for us all.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! It was so much fun last week to see how some of our classes celebrated the 100th Day of School. What a milestone! This week, we are thrilled to welcome Mac Barnett back to Casis for our annual Author Visit event. It will be an exciting day of presentations, book-signings, and a luncheon with the staff. Spring Conferences will also begin this week.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! We had some great conversation in last week’s Administrators’ Coffee Chat with parents. Another Coffee Chat with Casis Administration will occur in February. See you then! The month of January has just flown by and February is here. This week, we will celebrate the 100th day of school (1/31/24) and in the month of February, we look forward to our annual Author’s Visit event and Spring Conferences.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! I want to thank everyone for their flexibility and cooperation last week on our delayed-start days. Our learning community operated as a team and I’m so proud of how smoothly everything went. Thanks to AISD Leadership for exercising strong communication practices during those unpredictable days.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! It was wonderful to see everyone return back from what I hope was an enjoyable and relaxing winter break. We were also happy to welcome some new families to our Casis Cougar PRIDE family. And Monday, January 15, was another school holiday, MLK day. Whether you participated in some service-oriented event or just relaxed with family, I hope that everyone took the opportunity to think about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the fundamental human rights and values that he represented, and the legacy that he left behind. As we continue our work together this second semester, there is still much to learn, to do, and to look forward to, as we get 2024 started.

Cougar PRIDE Families, Albeit short, it’s going to be another great week at Casis! During the month of December, we have continued to focus on student learning growth and enrichment opportunities, as well as on safe and secure practices. As we finish out these last few days before our Winter Break, please know how appreciative we are for such a successful Fall 2023 semester.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Our Science Fair was a rousing success and highlighted some really great student learning. During the month of December, we will continue to focus on student learning growth and enrichment opportunities, as well as on safe and secure practices. There will continue to be a flurry of more activities that will quicken the time before our upcoming Winter Break.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Our first Prospective Parent Tour was very well-attended last week. And December promises to be a month of more fall semester activities that will focus on student learning growth and enrichment opportunities, as well as on safe and secure practices.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! I hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable Fall Break. I, for one, was so very thankful for the week off. As we close out the month of November, December promises to be a month of more fall semester activities that will focus on student learning growth and enrichment opportunities, as well as on safe and secure practices.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! ‘Book Fair Week’ was a rousing success and so well-supported. Special thanks to our parent volunteers who helped Ms. Ewing throughout the week. And our Veteran’s Day Program was so very special for our school and community. Events like these truly do help to ensure that our school community remains unified, strong, and thriving.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Our school-wide ‘Crazy Hat Day’ on last Tuesday was so much fun for everyone. I enjoyed seeing so many creative and interesting hats, as well as adorning a few of my own. And it was just wonderful to see all of our littles in the ‘Early Childhood Character Parade’ that morning too.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week was an amazing week of carnival activities. Rain or shine, our school truly did go to the ‘Next Level’ in showing that we are a “Super Casis World”. The On-Line Auction, Student Raffle, Lego Build Contest, Spirit Wednesday, Pep Rally pivot, and the Carnival itself, were all huge successes and so enjoyable.
