Cougar PRIDE Families,

It’s going to be a great final week at Casis! Last week, our ‘Track & Field Days’ were so great – everything from the ‘Penny Wars’ to the ‘Poster Contest’ to our ‘Guest Speaker’ to the ‘T & F Stations’, including the ‘Tug for Fun’ events. Big congratulations to our Physical Education Team and Parent Volunteers for a job well-done. This 2025– 2026 school year has been so very rewarding and has brought many wonderful moments. And while sometimes there have also been challenges, those challenges have been faced head-on with resilience and positivity. Our Cougar Pride Family also experienced great loss and rose to the occasion to provide the needed support to all. I’m so very proud of our exceptional learning community. As school staff, parents, and students, we have all partnered together to keep learning a core focus, while we have also taken great measures to show care towards each other in so many ways. Our learning community is truly a family and we have accomplished so many things together. Once again, each experience has presented new learning and growing opportunities for us all. As we go into the summer months, I truly hope that everyone will enjoy family, friends, and a much slower pace. While Administration, Staff, and PTA have already been planning for the next school year, it is just as important that we all rejuvenate ourselves during this time off as well. Have a great summer vacation! Please see important information for the week below.

CHARACTER STRONG IMPLEMENTATION & PRACTICES" "

This year, AISD and Casis Elementary are implementing a new Character Education and Behavioral Support program called Character Strong. This program is meant to provide students with the necessary skills and strategies to be the very best humans that they can be in the world. Students will hear morning messages and receive lessons from their teachers about topics like respect, gratitude, honesty, courage and more. Teachers will be providing weekly lessons and sending home monthly information to families about the different program topics learned each month. The lessons derive from a program called, “Purposefull People”. Here’s a Family Introductory Letter about Purposefull People. Each month we will cover a different Character Strong topic and resources will be shared to help families have meaningful conversations at home about the learned trait. Here’s an Overview of the monthly topics that will be taught. The Character Strong trait for the month of May is Creativity. Here’s the Family Connection Newsletter – Creativity for this month’s theme. We are so excited to be ‘Character Strong’ at Casis Elementary!
