Casis Weekly (5/27/25 - 5/29/25)
Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be a great final week at Casis! This 2024– 2025 school year has been so very rewarding and has brought many wonderful moments. And while sometimes there have also been challenges, those challenges have been faced head-on with resilience and positivity. I’m so very proud of our exceptional learning community. As school staff, parents, and students, we have all partnered together to keep learning a core focus, while we have also taken great measures to show care towards each other in so many ways.
Casis Weekly (5/19/25 - 5/23/25)
Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! In these last weeks of the school year, there will be so many action-packed activities all the way to the last day of school. Last week, our ‘Track & Field Days’ were so great. Congratulations to our Physical Education Team and Parent Volunteers for a job well-done. And we’ll all actually enjoy one more School Holiday next Monday (Memorial Day), before departing for the summer months. Nice!

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! In these last weeks of the school year, there will be so many action-packed activities all the way to the last day of school. Last week, we celebrated so much: Teacher Appreciation Week, School Nurse Appreciation Week, and National Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day. This week is ‘Track & Field Days’, which we’re really excited about. The remaining events in the month of May will bring closure to this school year, as we also plan for the next school year.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, we concluded our celebration of Earth Week with a 5th Grade Harvest Sale, which was so great. Special thanks to our Organic Garden Parent Coordinator, Chelsea Combs, who has done an outstanding job this year! We also hosted our final Prospective Parent Tour, which was very well-attended once again. Well, April is gone and ‘May Days’ have arrived!

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week began the celebration of Earth Week, which contained a lot of valuable and fun learning activities for students. It was also the final round of the STAAR test for our older students, which was a success. Staff enjoyed an awesome lunch from P. Terry’s and our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast for our parents was wonderful and well-attended. This week, we will host our final Prospective Parent Tour for this year.
Casis Weekly (4/21/25 - 4/25/25)
Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, our second round of the STAAR test with our 5th grade students was another successful happening. We know they did their best. This week will be the third and final round of the STAAR test (Math) for our 3rd – 5th graders. We know that they are going to finish strong. We’ll also be celebrating our Administrative Office Team and Parent Volunteers this week. And it’s also Earth Week, which will be celebrated throughout the rest of this month.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week was our first round of STAAR Testing for 3rd – 5th grades. It was a successful set of testing sessions for our students. This week, our 5th graders will be taking the Science test, so we wish our oldest students the very best on this important state assessment. A lot of the upcoming happenings in the months of April and May will bring closure to this school year, as we also plan for the next school year.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, our New Student Registration event was a success, with great community attendance. Also, the 4th Grade Choir Concert was a delightful performance that families highly enjoyed. Kudos to Nicole Stevens, Samantha Salazar, and the student performers! ‘Spirit Week’ Activities (Decorated Doors, Dress Up Days, and Spirit Rally) were also a lot of fun for our students and staff. And a good time was had by all at the adult ‘Celebrate Casis’ event as well. We do have so much to celebrate about our school and we are so very thankful to the Parent Coordinators and Volunteers for making every event activity so special.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, AISD Pride Week was a great celebration that highlighted the importance of being an accepting and welcoming community for all students. Because of this year’s district changes, I was exceptionally proud of how Casis created new opportunities for our learning community to unite and reaffirm our values around this special recognition event. Our Prospective Parent Tour for March was also another successful event as well.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! I hope that everyone enjoyed relaxing time with family over the break and are ready to ‘spring back’ into the rest of the school year. Prior to our week off, we enjoyed a lovely ‘Community Picnic’ full of music, a movie, and much family fun. This week is ‘AISD Pride Week’ and our next ‘Prospective Parent Tour’.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week’s ‘Class Picture Day’ went very well. This week, we’re looking forward to our Community Picnic, sponsored by our PTA, right on our school grounds. This year’s event will be a lot of fun for both kids and families.

Cougar PRIDE Families, It’s going to be another great week at Casis! Last week, our Prospective Parent Tour was well-attended and our last Administrators’ Coffee Chat was great. And we were thrilled to welcome ‘Raul the Third’ to Casis for our annual Author Visit Day. It was truly an exciting day of presentations, book-signings, and even a ‘Casis Times’ interview. And the luncheon with the staff was just so very special. Huge thanks goes to our Librarian, Courtney Ewing, and to our Parent Volunteers, who made this event so very memorable for us all.
