- Walkers should use crosswalks at all times.
- Bikers should park bikes at bike racks and walk bikes through crosswalks.
- Drivers should ALWAYS be aware of our foot and bike traffic.
- Drivers should consider TURNING OFF ENGINES when not moving forward.
- Avoid Parking in the Casis Village, if conducting school business.
- Front Circle Drive & Hillview will now be available for parent parking during the day.
- The North Parking Lot is designated for staff parking.
- Vehicles using the North Parking Lot (3rd – 5th) need to be aware of all walkers using our three parking lot crosswalks.
- Vehicles cued on Northwood for Circle Drive afternoon pick-up should TURN ON THEIR HAZARD LIGHTS and remain in one moving line to avoid double-parking.
- Vehicles who need to enter the North Parking Lot for morning/afternoon drop-offs/pick-ups of 3rd – 5th graders may by-pass the ‘Circle Drive’ vehicles to enter the parking lot.
Students and community members also continue to benefit from our “bike and walk to school” initiative. Our arrival and dismissal is also supported by our 5th grade Safety Patrol volunteers. Rules for Walkers
- Always follow a planned, direct route to your destination.
- Walk on sidewalks.
- Cross streets at corners only, after making sure conditions are safe.
- Do not talk to strangers or accept rides from strangers.
- All students (even those accompanied by adults) must cross streets near the school only with the safety patrol or crossing guard. Wait until the crossing guard has stopped traffic and calls you before you begin crossing.
- Walkers should never walk a route through the ‘Casis Village’.
Rules for Bike Riders
- All bike riders must wear helmets.
- Always follow a planned, direct route to your destination.
- Obey all traffic signs as well as the directions of crossing guards.
- Use both hands to steer. Put all your things in a backpack so your hands are free.
- Always make eye contact with drivers when crossing traffic.
- Bikes must be walked while on campus.
- Bikes must be parked and locked each day in the school bike racks.
- Perform regular safety checks on your bike.
- Bikers should never bike a route through the ‘Casis Village’.
Rules for Drivers
- Refrain from using cell phones in school zones.
- Stay in your vehicle at all No unattended vehicles left at any time.
- Refrain from using the Casis Village parking lot as a drop off or pick up point for your child.
- Park in designated spots for visitors and guests (Circle Drive or Hillview).
- Refrain from parking in the Fire Lane at any time.
- Refrain from parking in the North Lot (Staff Only).
- ‘Turn Right Only’ during arrival and dismissal times.
